MASSACRE AT VIRGINIA TECH

Good evening. I'm sure as you've watched and heard by now that Virginia Tech was the site of the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history today, as a gunman opened fire claiming 33 lives and injuring 17 others before pulling the trigger on himself. Not since Dawson College in Montreal, Canada last fall have we ever seen a college tragedy transpire in North America.

Now we're learning that the gunman behind all this was in the States since last summer on a student visa from China. But to everybody at Virginia Tech who were traumatized by what transpired, that didn't mean anything as the aftereffects of today will be felt for the rest of their lives. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those involved in the tragedy.

Even though this is irrevelant, I think the Virginia Tech massacre may also serve as a wake-up call to the millions of "American Idol" viewers who've been kissing Sanjaya Malakar's ass for so long; and after watching the coverage they've decided they've finally had enough and are going for someone more worthy of advancing. We'll see what happens tomorrow night; good night.
